On scorching, sunny day some people enjoy taking their horses down to the beautiful beaches on Arran. When the tides are low enough you can gallop along the harder sand and you can go for miles and miles. You can take them into the sea and go for a swim. The salt in the sea is really good for their feet. Swimming can be useful as it is hard work for them and keeps them fit. Sometimes when there has been a high tide you can find a few logs that have been washed up which can make some good jumps. This is what we like to do on the beaches and seas on Arran.
